The concept for the new product I've been working on is ready. Also my demo prototype is already running.
The last few days I have been pondering on my business plan. I am a thinker and software architect, not an entrepreneur. In the current social media world, where many companies' business strategy is Ctrl-C Ctrl-V for any good initiative, I have very little chances of success.
My concept involves some know-how which I do not have personally but other companies do have. And even without that, any medium-size business will probably beat me just by putting more resources on the implementation, making their own application which will be some improvement of mine. In the best case, I will be remembered in history books as the guy who came up with the idea. In the worst case, I wouldn't even get that credit.
So I have made up my mind, and approached today one of the major players who would have an interest in such a product. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

6 weeks later, resent my message again, still no response. I guess in current SoMe world, if you don't operate within a radius of 50 miles around SF, you don't count. Grrrrrrr.
